What is HyProCure?
Flat feet in kids can seem harmless at first—but they can change how the entire body moves.
Picture the foot as a strong, flexible arch—like a bridge. That arch helps absorb shock, keep balance, and support every step. In some children, that arch collapses, causing the foot to roll inward. This is called pediatric flatfoot. It can lead to tired feet, pain in the ankles or knees, and trouble keeping up with everyday activities.
Now imagine a small, smart solution designed to gently guide the foot back into alignment.
That’s where HyProCure comes in.
Book OnlineHyProCure is a tiny implant placed in a part of the foot called the subtalar joint. This joint sits just below the ankle and controls how the foot moves side to side. In flat feet, this joint can move too much, causing instability and poor alignment.
HyProCure works by stabilizing that motion.
How does HyProCure work?
During the procedure, Dr. Graham places the implant through a very small incision. It acts like a guide, keeping the bones in a better position while still allowing natural movement.
Nothing is fused or permanently locked.
The foot can still move—it just moves the way it’s supposed to.
And that changes everything.
Can early correction of flatfeet help prevent chronic knee, back and hip pain in adulthood?
With improved alignment, the arch is supported. The foot becomes more stable. Walking, running, and standing feel easier and more natural. Many kids notice they can be more active without pain or fatigue.
But one of the biggest advantages of HyProCure is timing.
When this procedure is done at a young age (between 5-18 years old), it can help guide the foot as it grows. Instead of years of poor alignment, the body develops with better support and balance. That can prevent future problems like chronic foot pain, knee issues, or even back discomfort in adulthood. The implant does not have to be changed for a larger size in the future. It’s a proactive step—a way to fix the problem early instead of chasing symptoms later.
Is HyProCure right for your child?

Recovery & Cost
Despite over 50 journal articles promoting the benefits of this procedure, large insurance companies do not typical cover use of subtalar implants to address flexible flat foot deformities. Therefore the surgeon’s portion of the procedure $1400. There are facility and anesthesia fees that can be estimated prior to the procedure.
Recovery is typically quick. Kids are often able to walk with a boot the day of the procedure, with guidance from Dr. Graham. Most return to athletic shoes by week 4. Over time, the foot adapts to its new, improved position.
HyProCure isn’t just about correcting flat feet. It’s about building a stronger foundation for movement, growth, and confidence.
Because when your child’s feet are aligned, everything above them works better.
